What Maya says about gambling transactions
The terms and conditions for Maya’s e-wallet were read directly, and they carry no gambling clause, only general prohibitions on illegal activity and anti-money-laundering breaches. Those CREDIT CARD terms cover another product, and they do name ‘illegal gambling or unauthorized game of chance’ as a restricted transaction, with the card suspended or cancelled as the stated consequence. August 2025 brought BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 for Maya as well, and in-app gambling and gaming links were removed accordingly. Because the credit card agreement’s restriction does not cover the wallet, the two products should not be confused.
